Qualifications:
BSc Biological Sciences with a Year in Industry, University of East Anglia (England), 2017-2022
MSc in Marine Applied Sciences, University of Plymouth (England), 2022-2023

Christina received her BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia (England) and her MSc in Marine Applied Sciences from the University of Plymouth (England).

Passionate about marine conservation from an early age, Christina gained experience with environmental research and conservation organisations in Europe and abroad, including Operation Wallacea, Wildlife Ecological Investments, The Wildlife Trusts, Friends of the Earth Cyprus, and the Field Studies Council (UK). She has also contributed to international conferences, workshops, and outreach initiatives focused on advancing marine conservation and environmental sustainability.

Since joining MER Lab, Christina has developed a broad range of expertise spanning fieldwork, laboratory research, and science communication. She has contributed to national and European research projects on marine ecosystem restoration, elasmobranch conservation, citizen science, marine litter monitoring, environmental impact assessments, and ocean literacy. Her work mostly combines scientific research with stakeholder engagement, helping bridge the gap between science and society.

Christina is a NAUI Master Scuba Diver, a JNCC-certified Marine Mammal Observer (MMO), and a certified high-speed small vessel operator.
