October 14, 2025As part of our ResPos project, we recently completed a series of three introductory seminars on Posidonia oceanica, engaging divers across Cyprus in the protection and restoration of our precious seagrass meadows — the “lungs of the Mediterranean.”
The workshops took place in Famagusta, Larnaca, and Limassol districts, each bringing together passionate divers, local communities, and collaborators committed to marine conservation.
The seminar series had an inspiring turnout and established commitment with the divers. These workshops served as more than awareness sessions — they were an invitation for divers to become Posidonia gardeners, actively contributing to the protection and restoration of these vital ecosystems with our upcoming RESPOSCY project.
Want to get involved?
Together, we are building knowledge, strengthening awareness, and training a new generation of divers to safeguard the future of our seas.
