The team of SEAMIND – “Bridging Worlds through Marine Environmental Education for Diverse Young Minds” project is excited to announce the launch of the pilot phase of its brand-new educational packages.

Funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme and delivered by the Marine & Environmental Research (MER) Lab in partnership with the environmental NGO iSea, SEAMIND offers innovative, hands-on learning modules in marine environmental education. Through a blend of classroom instruction, laboratory work and immersive field experiences, the project seeks to deepen children’s environmental awareness, foster scientific thinking and strengthen their connection to the sea.

What the programme includes

• Digital and printed resources for identifying local marine species, grasping key ecological concepts and monitoring human impacts on ecosystems.
• Laboratory sessions and theoretical training at the MER Lab facilities.
• Practical field activities on Limassol’s beaches.

Who can join?

• Children aged 10–13 (participation is free of charge).
• Snacks and drinks will be provided during breaks.
• Every child will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.

Experienced scientists and educators will guide all activities, ensuring children’s safety and accessibility by adhering to strict protocols.
